Judges Lodgings is not a Hotel.  We offer serviced accommodation. This offers many benefits not least a lot more space than a hotel room or B&B plus the added benefit of having your own kitchen and dining area plus the ability to share a living space with friends or family.  This make them ideal for work colleagues, families with children or longer term stays.  Below we cover some questions that you may want to know:

1.  Is there a minimum amount of nights for bookings?  

Our apartments are very large and therefore take a lot longer to clean than a hotel room.  To make that viable 1 night is generally not long enough without making the accommodation really expensive but at quiet times we do offer single nights so do request it directly with us.  We may charge a premium in peak season.  

2.   Dog and Cat friendly apartments? 

We do accept dogs and cats that are well behaved in some of our apartments.  Especially suitable as they are ground floor are Judges 2 and 5 and Maitland House 3. We do charge an extra cleaning fee to ensure the properties are fully cleaned ready for the next guests.  This is normally £25 per pet and can be added at booking.

3.   Why is there a cleaning charge separate to the room rate? 

We charge a flat single amount charge on all bookings to cover the cost of cleaning etc. The cost of this whilst the same on all bookings it makes longer stays per night cheaper encouraging more of those which what we are primarily set up for.

4.   Is there a discount for longer term stays?

We offer discount on 1 week and 1 month stays. We can also offer further discounts for more than 1 month stays.  Do get in touch to discuss your requirements

5.   When we book is this confirmed immediately?

Whilst are system availability is generally up to day there may be a slight delay in updates at times and therefore we will email all orders are 100% confirmed with your check in instructions

6.   How do we do check in?  

Our apartments operate self check in.   Once you booking is confirmed we will forward you a check in instruction to access key from the keysafe on arrival.  It also has other useful information.

7.   I have a problem during my stay who do I contact?

Do give our number a call or send us an email if its not urgent.  We live in Spa Road just yards from the property and will do our best to help you as soon as we can.

8.   I need information on things to see and do?

Our check in instruction for your stay includes many useful numbers, place to eat and drink and emergency numbers

9.   We are already staying can we extend our stay?

Yes of course do give us a call and we can arrange this for you. There wont be another cleaning charge added to the booking

10.   Can you arrange an extra clean?

Yes we can.  This is often used by people who are staying longer term and want new bedding towels and cleaning. Do get in touch

11.   Is linen etc provided?

Yes towels and bed linen are provided. 

12.  How equipped is the kitchen?

The kitchen has all the pots and pans etc that you could need for a short stay.  Plates, glass, cutlery etc are also included. We also supply tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt and pepper.  We don't supply milk.  There is many small food shops on Southgate Street just a hundred yards away.  If anything is missing that you need give us a call to see if we can help

13.   Are you able to supply a printer? 

If you are working away from home and need a printer do let us know we can supply one for a one off hire cost along with paper and ink

14.   Are there restaurants nearby? 

We are locate just by Gloucester Docks and near the city centre. There are at least 30 restaurants and bars with 5 minute walk of us.

15.   Where can I exercise?

Gloucester Park is across the road. Is perfect for getting some fresh air.  It has various suitable parts to use plus a children's playground if you are away with your family.  Want something a little wilder? Then Alney Island just the other side of the river from the docks puts you in the countryside but with excellent footpaths suitable for a long walk or run.

16.   Parking? I may need more than one space?

Yes all our properties have secure gated parking and one car is included with each booking.   If you require an additional car or more then get in touch as we can arrange that for you with a local landlord. Again in secure car park.  The cost is £5 per day per additional car.

17.   Games? Cots? High Chairs?

Yes we have all 3 available.  Let us know regarding children's cots and high chairs before arrival and we will ensure the travel cot is in the apartments (you need to supply your own bedding).  For games we have a games cupboard with Xbox 360 and board games available to use during your stay. 18.   Is the internet speed good I need to ? 

Yes each apartment is supplied with Virgin Fibre Optic High Speed Broadband.  Generally consider the fastest option ​in the UK nationally. Normally speeds are minimum of 50MBS

18.  Do the apartments have washing machines?

Yes each apartment has a washing machine and an in room drying rack. We can recommend local laundries if you would prefer to send out your laundry but we are unable to actually arrange this for you.
